Saint-Louis, France

According to Suanne's cellphone pedometer we walked 221,594 steps or 105 miles on this trip. I had no idea we had walked that far. We visited twenty different cities in five different countries. These are the cities we visited on this trip; Brussels, Brugge, Antwerp, Williamstad, Kinderdiek, Nijemegan, Bonn, Cochem, Bernkastel, Trier, Zell, Boggard, Speyer, Strasbourg, Baden-Baden, Basel, Bern, Interlaken,Thun, and Lucern. And I took 2,391 pictures! In the bottom picture we are on the bottom of the stairs on the left side. The guy with the flag is our leader Serge.

Old Bern, April 4, 2016

Today was our last day in Bern and we decided to ride the public transport to the Old Bern. The bottom three pictures are of doors that lead to underground dance clubs that open at night. I found one that was a cafe and open during the daytime.

Lucerne April 3, 2016

Today was the best weather we have had on our trip. It was mostly sunny with a high temperature of 67 degrees. We went to Lucerne to see the sights and meet up with our pals from the cruise. They were on an extended cruise with Serg. Laura Franco went out to lunch with us. We went to Lucern Underground Station and drove around in our rental car trying to find a good place to take a picture of The Alps, (we never did find one), too big I guess.

Bern The Neighborhood April 2, 2016

These are some pictures I took around our neighborhood. We eat a complimentary breakfast in the hotel restaurant every morning. The weather has been cloudy and cool around 56 degrees for the high temperature.

National Bern Hotel April 1, 2016

We are staying in Bern, Switzerland at the historic National Bern Hotel. The locals here mostly use public transportation, bicycling, or walking to get around this part of the city. They are also big on scooters and electric bicycles. We love the historic hotel rooms. We have a nice view of the streetcars and buses loading and unloading passengers. It is surprising quiet at night.

Interlaken, Switzerland April 2, 2016

Good weather today, no rain and not too cold. We took the car out to explore Interlaken located in The Alps. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and we could not get a good picture of the mountains. Take my word for it they were spectacular and they have snow on them year round.

Bern II April 1, 2016

Everything in Switzerland is expensive, but the people working here make higher wages to compensate.
